title = "long hair" +++ It was yet another day working at the office. We had a peculiar little lady here handling some paperwork. I'm not sure what she did exactly. I've seen her time and time again, passing by. I remember all too well how she looked, even though I don't know who she was, what she did, or even her name. A brown, short dog. Fur quite dense. Dark eyes. And most of all, _really_ long, _really_ thick, blonde hair. Her hair was so long it was like a second tail. Except, it just trailed across the floor behind her. I was honestly surprised how well she managed it. It was very shiny and well taken care of. But I can't imagine how much of a pain it must have been to wash and stylise every day. Not to mention it getting caught on doors and stuff. Surprisingly enough, I've never actually seen her knock anything over with it. Guess it was years of practice. It must have taken so long to grow that hair in the first place, too. Anyways. As I was saying, it was yet another day, working at the office. I was headed to the elevator, and happened to bump into the lady on my way there. Her papers scattered across the floor. --- Oh god, I'm so sorry. Are you alright? --- I asked as I helped her pick up the pages.\ --- Yeah. We picked up the papers and got into the elevator. Both of us, 8th floor. Moment of awkward silence. --- You know, long hair is kind of a pain. --- she said out of nowhere. --- I couldn't even see you there in the corridor.\ --- Yeah, I imagine... 4th floor. --- Why have it then?\ --- ...I'll show you once we're up there. 8th floor. We get out of the elevator, and turn into a corridor. --- Hoi, Mimi! --- she whispered. A little white critter peeked out of her hair! --- I just can't leave her alone, and she doesn't feel comfortable around people. --- she commented, stroking the critter's fur. The little critter went back into her hiding spot. Not trying to hide the surprise on my face, I asked...\ --- ...why, uhhh, _whaaaat_?? She took a deep breath. --- My parents gave her to me when I was little. She was always so scared of people, yet didn't want to be left alone.\ --- What's... that got to do with growing your hair to an absurd length?\ --- Well... back then, my hair wasn't as long, but it was just as thick. So, knowing she'd be safe and sound and invisible, she immediately picked it as her hiding spot. Went with me everywhere she could. But I always felt like her place was really cramped... ...so I started growing my hair out. To give her more space to play in. It's really thick, so you can't really see it from outside. But she's there, every day. --- she smiled. I nodded, still in awe. --- Just... don't tell anyone, please. I wouldn't want to stress her out. --- she told me.\ --- Sure thing. And we went back to work. To this day I remember this little secret. How there's a critter in her hair. Nobody else knows about it. I still find it kind of unbelievable. But now, if I look closely, sometimes, I can just barely make out Mimi hiding in that long, blond hair...
